It works, and it’s quiet. DIY installation was quick, painless and without trial and error. No leaks. Quiet operation, although what sound does come through sounds like 60-cycle hum, so I initially thought it might be stalled or failed to engage, but a ritual ice cube grind confirmed that it works beautifully.

I have been happy with this disposal. It is very safe since it is only operates with the drain cover securely covering the throat of the disposal. Waste King L-8000TC There is no risk for fingers to get caught unawares or for shards of food (such as bones) to unexpectently fly out. It is quiet, powerful and I have not had difficulty correctly positioning the cover to activate the switch.
